What the code does
The process
Tintype is a token launchpad on Robinhood Chain built on Uniswap v4. It has four contracts and no owner. Below, every word the studio uses, and what is true under it.
- Platenoun · the coin
A Uniswap v4 pool can name a hook contract that runs before and after every swap. On Tintype the coin is that contract: one body that is an ERC20 (with EIP-2612 permit), the hook of its own pool, and two silver trays. Its hook permissions are before-initialize, before-swap and after-swap, each returning a delta. There are no liquidity hooks at all, which is why the negative can be added to or pulled through Uniswap without asking anyone.
The plate’s owner is the zero address from the first block: the constructor takes ownership and renounces it in the same breath. No mint after the exposure, no pause, no blocklist, no transfer tax, no address that can be changed.
- Silvernoun · the cut on the ETH side
Every swap in the home pool pays a small fixed cut of its ETH side; the rate is a constant in the verified source, read it there. A buyer’s ETH is skimmed before the pool sees it; a seller’s ETH is sliced on the way out. The silver never leaves the PoolManager as loose ETH: the plate mints itself an ERC-6909 claim for it and books it into two trays.
- Traynoun · two of them
The sitter’s tray, the larger share: whoever exposed the plate. The house tray, the rest: Tintype. The split is a constant in the source. Only a tray’s payee can fix it, and fixing is the only thing that turns the claim into ETH. There is no third payee and no address that can be swapped in later.
- Exposurenoun · one mark, every time
Every pool opens on the same tick, the one where the whole run of plates meets the studio’s opening mark. The studio cuts a single negative from that tick down to the lowest tick there is, holding the entire supply on the plate side. No price feed, no signer, no curve: the opening is a constant in the source.
- Negativenoun · the position NFT
The position NFT is minted to the archive wallet, an ordinary account. It is not burnt and it is not locked. The archive can pull the liquidity, add to it or transfer the NFT through Uniswap’s own PositionManager whenever it chooses, and the plate’s hook will not stop it. Every plate page reads the position live and says whether it is intact. Trade with that in mind.
- Sittingverb · to expose a plate
Anyone can sit. The studio deploys the plate with CREATE2 using a salt your browser mines so the address carries the hook flags, opens the pool, cuts the negative, and sends any rounding dust to the archive, all in one transaction. The house sits for its own plate, $TINTYPE, exactly once. Sitting costs gas and nothing else.
- Contractsfour of them, MIT, on Sourcify
- Plate — the coin: ERC20 + permit, hook, trays.
- Exposure — the opening tick and liquidity, a library.
- Studio — exposes plates; keeps a record per plate and the negative id; immutable.
- Enlarger — the router this site trades through; any v4 router can trade the same pools.
